“My museum, on private museums in Poland”
Three private museums run by three collectors. Each of them devotes time, money and family life to his passion. Great emotions delivered in a surprising, discrete and peaceful manner constitute the power of this film. “My Museum” is a story of passion hidden in “retired” everyday items. It revolves around the struggle with Time and Memory. The film presents museum owners’ magical efforts to make the dream of immortality real. It was created on the basis of the study on private museums conducted by Ari Ari Foundation.
Warsaw Bread Museum was founded in 2000 on the initiative of Marian Pazorek and his wife Grażyna. They have been collecting items connected to baking for years, thus documenting the history of the baker profession.
Museum of Transportation in Paterek (Cuiavia & Pomerania province) was founded in March 2011 upon the collection of historical buses belonging to Artur Lemański. It contains 30 buses that used to run in Poland between 70s and 90s, old photographs, stories of Bydgoszcz and Nakło public transport, drivers’ uniforms and old tickets.
Open Air Museum of Sokołów Land (Mazovia province) is the accomplishment of Marian Pietrzak supported by his wife – Jadwiga. The collection consisting of over 1,000 items includes exhibits connected to the history of surrounding villages and towns.
